Medical Professional with a DUI -- 0.11% BAC; Charges Reduced, saved Driver & Professional Licenses.
May 2015
A medical professional licensed by the State of California, S.C. was approaching the toll plaza of the San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge when stopped by a law enforcement officer for having an expired registration. The officer conducted a series of non-standardized Field Sobriety Tests (FST's), followed by having S.C. blow into a Preliminary Alcohol Screening (PAS) device, with a reading of 0.113% BAC. A subsequent breath test showed a Blood Alcohol Content of 0.11%.
I was able to get the charges reduced, preventing an automatic driver license suspension, and avoiding any action against the professional license.
